Ultrasonido es un procedimiento de diagnóstico por imágenes que utiliza las ondas sonoras para producir imágenes de las estructuras del cuerpo humano. El sonido choca con el órgano rebotando y al ser recibido nuevamente por el aparato se convierte en imagen, la que se analiza. No utiliza radiación, por lo que se puede usar en pacientes embarazadas para ver edad fetal, anormalidades, etc. Mediante esta tecnología se puede analizar problemas genecológicos, del higado, páncreas, vejiga, vesícula bilitar, riñones, etc. El Hospital Vicente D'Antoni posee dos modernos ultrasonidos para brindar mejor servicio a sus pacientes.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a diagnostic procedure that utilizes images of the structures of the human body produced by sound waves. The sound bounces off an organ and is received by the machine and converted into an image which can be analyzed. There is no radiation so pregnant women can be checked for fetal age or for abnormalities. Many parts of the body can be analyzed including genecology problems, liver, pancreas, bladder, gall bladder, kidneys, etc. The D'Antoni Hospital has two modern ultrasound machines to provide better service for the patients.

This is a non-invasive procedure without any pain to examine human organs.
